2025 4th International Symposium on New Energy Technology Innovation and Low Carbon Development wrapped up successfully in Hangzhou!

From May 9 to 11, 2025, The4th International Symposium on New Energy Technology Innovation and Low-Carbon Development (NET-LC 2025), hosted by Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, was successfully convened in Hangzhou. Centered on the theme "New Energy Technologies and Low-Carbon Development," the hybrid event attracted nearly 100 experts and scholars to exchange insights on cutting-edge advancements in new energy technologies and pathways for low-carbon transformation.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. ShubinYan, Vice Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering and Conference Chair, delivered a welcoming address on behalf of the organizing committee. He highlighted Hangzhou's distinctive strengths as China's "Leading City in Digital Economy" and "Pioneer in Green Innovation."

The plenary session featured keynote presentations by distinguished scholars: Prof. Huanhai Xin (Zhejiang University, represented by Gao Huisheng), Prof. KunYang (Zhejiang Ocean University), Prof. Saad Mekhilef (IEEE Fellow, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia), and Prof. ShanshanLi (Hebei University of Technology).

The afternoon program comprised two parallel oral presentation sessions chaired by Prof. Taiquan Wu  and Dr. Guang Liu from the host institution. Ten emerging scholars presented research findings across interdisciplinary domains, including photocatalytic hydrogen production, optimization of distributed power generation, perovskite solar cell technologies, carbon tax policy simulation, and fuel cell performance analysis.

In recognition of academic excellence, the conference awarded the Best Oral Presentation Award to outstanding contributors. The NET-LC series will continue its commitment to advancing global low-carbon initiatives, with the next edition scheduled for 2026 to further catalyze sustainable energy transitions through international collaboration.
